With the aim of making women financially and socially self-reliant, Dudhshree Milk Producer Company started its journey on 27th February 2024. Within a short span after its establishment, the organization has set up milk collection points in around 650 villages, where approximately 28,000 women members have joined. Notably, all these women are the actual owners of this producer company.

The Chief Executive of the organization, Shri Krishnendu Mondal, highlighted the future vision of the company. He stated that Dudhshree will not remain limited only to milk production and marketing. He emphasized that the organization is working with the goal of making women across the state more self-reliant and will continue to undertake new initiatives in the future. Along with dairy products, the organization is also giving special importance to other agricultural products and the overall development of rural women.

For example, he mentioned that in the last financial year, with the support of NDDB Mrida and NDDB Dairy Services, 100 biogas plants were installed at subsidized rates for members. This initiative has not only supported environmental sustainability but has also created new ways to reduce daily expenses.

Continuing this initiative, a special program was organized under Rayla BMC involving 51 women helpers (Didis) from a particular village. During the event, the top 5 performers were felicitated, recognizing their work and encouraging them for the future.
Additionally, two meritorious female students who passed last year’s Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations—Kumari Monisha Roy (Madhyamik – 88%) and Kumari Bipasha Ghosh (Higher Secondary – 90%)—were awarded scholarships of ₹20,000 each along with certificates. This scholarship initiative was undertaken by NDDB and NDDB Dairy Services.

On behalf of the entire Dudhshree team, sincere gratitude was expressed to NDDB and NDDB Dairy Services for providing scholarships and continuously supporting the development of the dairy sector and rural economy in Bengal.

At the event, from Dudhshree Milk Producer Company, Veterinary Doctor Dr. Shovon Mondal was present. Additionally, from the IBP department, Shri Sarbajit Bhattacharya, Cluster Manager Shri Toton Pramanik, from HR Department Shri Tanmoy Maji, Area Officer Shaukat Islam, and facilitators Shri Pranab Biswas and Shri Rahul Bera were present.
